    What Makes a Great Administrative Assistant

    • To be a successful admin assistant you must be a business insider. You must know about the business and the industry that you want to work for impeccably so that you don’t have to keep asking questions which others will know the answer to. You need to understand all of the terms, trends and technologies that could crop up within your role.
    • You must have knowledge of Microsoft office and social media. So many things now take place on line and you need to ensure that you digital knowledge is up to date. If you know how to utilise social media for business, you will definitely have a huge advantage over people that do not who are applying for the same job post.
    • You must be a good communicator to be good office admin assistant, both verbally and when writing. A lot of office admin assistants are the first point of contact within offices therefore they must sound professional and give off a good vibe.
    • Office admin assistants are often given tasks at the last minute which need to be completed perfectly, this means that office admins must be adaptable and able to work under pressure. Office admin assistants have to be able to work out what needs to be done in what order without having to be told.

    These are only some of the qualities in which office admin assistants need to succeed too. Another thing, in which many people looking to get into the industry do, is choose to take office admin courses or apprenticeships so that they can enhance their knowledge before applying for the most leading roles available.
